'Everything buried in mud': Hurricane Eta's devastating blow to Honduras
The Guardian, November 11, 2020
This is this week’s headline, one of many describing the state of this noble but beleaguered nation hit by poverty, gangs and now historic flooding. Community Health Partnership-Honduras, its volunteers and local partners aim to raise funds for families we have supported in the past who survive by living and working within landfills and the poorest neighborhoods of San Pedro Sula. The city has been catastrophically affected by Hurricane Eta. Due to flooding, these families have lost what little they had and face homelessness, starvation, and disease. Through our partners in the area, including Grace Honduras and the COMSA farmers collective of Marcala, we are able to bring relief and help them to rebuild. Please help us to help others during such a vulnerable period. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly to help families. Thank you for whatever amount you can contribute!
