Penny Glass is a single mother of three who has been diagnosed with Stage 2a Colon Cancer. With the CoVID19 pandemic, Penny has found herself unemployed, without insurance and unable to pay for her cancer treatments. She is still recovering from damages to her home from Harvey and now she is facing having to leave the home she has fought so hard to recover. Her doctors have recommended weekly treatments, but the fee is $1000 for every treatment, and she has no funds to give for her recovery.
Penny has so graciously given her time to others, which her generosity really shines with a nonprofit ministry she created in 2013. The Clothing Exchange, known throughout Liberty, Chambers, and Harris County, collects clothing twice a year for Back to School. Her ministry collects donated backpacks and school supplies to distribute to hundreds of kids in need and organizes food drives and pantries for families who come to these events. A few of Penny's closest friends and family are gathering to host a benefit in her name on September 26, however, the time lapse between now and then without treatment leaves Penny at the hands of her cancer. We pray for her recovery every day, but we would like to help by raising funds now to assist with the treatments she urgently needs. Please offer your pennies to help us fight for our Penny.
