Your support can help make a difference for animals like Moira, a young pittie who was found as a stray in Philadelphia with an injury to her rear left leg. When Moira arrived at the Pennsylvania SPCA, it was discovered that the injury was extensive and her leg needed to be removed by our Shelter Hospital staff. Sweet Moira is now living life on three-legs, but her future is bright! She is currently recovering in our Shelter Hospital and will soon be ready to find her forever home. Your generous support will help more animals like Moira receive the love and care they deserve!
Founded in 1867 to end the pervasive abuse of working horses, the Pennsylvania SPCA has been saving animals from cruelty and neglect for over 150 years. Each year, the Pennsylvania SPCA saves thousands of animals and gives them a second chance at life. Once rescued, all animals receive in-house, state-of-the-art medical treatment, shelter, and loving care until they find loving forever homes.
We are so much more than an animal shelter. We help communities address animal cruelty through our uniquely powerful operations. We have an in-house Shelter Hospital, Humane Law Enforcement Department, low-cost Community Wellness Clinics, Behavior and Enrichment Programs, Humane Education and Community Outreach, and Adoptions/Fosters Programs. Our no-kill philosophy means we do not euthanize for space or time. We are proud to have maintained a live release rate of 97% annually since 2015.
Thank you for helping us to save lives!
