Our decades-old Playground is in need of some major safety improvements!
We are working toward providing a safe and more inclusive atmosphere for our students and the local surrounding community to use in the years to come.
Our current monkey/climbing bars are old, rusted and right next to the asphalt - not providing the current state-regulated fall radius. Many of the bars have holes and cuts within the metal due to aging and overuse.
Our existing larger structure has multiple broken plastic pieces that need replacing or repair and floor tiles under-neath are past expiration, also not providing safe state-regulated fall protection.
Our proto-type* shown will replace our existing climbing bars, in a new open area next to our larger structure providing more safety visualization for faculty. It will also provide adequate shade, as there is no current shade provided from the elements.
So far we have raised just over $16,000 in the past year in fundraising efforts and grants received.
We are seeking more toward our ultimate goal of $50,000!
Help make our vision a reality!
*proto-type shown is a representation and idea, final equipment and vendors are to be approved through our schools' district office.
