Our County has a population of 55,834 and we are the Sole Shelter that provides an outlet to the many people and pets! Our intakes have have decreased from 2007 - 5,709 to 2018 - 2,939 in large part to our aggressive Spay/Neuter Program. Our Live Releases have increased from 2007 - 1,583 to 2018 - 2,019. In addition to providing sheltering for unwanted animals in our county, we are also impacting our Community by keeping a year-round Low Cost Spay/Neuter Program, Low Cost Wellness Clinic twice a year, SNR Program and also a Pet Food Pantry to those in need. We will use the money partly to continue these programs but also our Shelter is aging and we are in need of an update to our building itself with cosmetic changes, appliances, equipment, kennels, computers & programs.
