I always wanted a dog when I was a kid. I told myself when I grew up, that was the first thing I would do. But as it does, life, work, play and girls got in the way. I kept putting it off, I'll do it when I have time. Then life forced a beautiful dog on me. Her name was Bea. At first we didn't get along, we were competing for my girlfriend at the time's affection. But then we started to run together. What a great running partner. I tried to take her everywhere, and the greeting she would give me when I got home was incredible.
Three years after I met her she sadly passed away. I didn't want to go through that again, so I didn't want another dog. But my household was so sad and we missed her so much. So Paws it Forward was able to fill that void. I got the most beautiful puppies from them three years ago. I always wanted puppies, my first and very own. And man were they so much work, the sleepless nights, countless vet bills. The roommates weren't quite as much help when it came to the work.
But when they were old enough I took them on their first run. Oh man, sometimes I swear that that is the only time my Baby Boy smiles. We love doing that so much together. They helped me through my crushing breakup with my ex. They helped me get back into shape after I became a mess from depression. And like Bea before they greet me at the door, and follow me everywhere. They might not love me as much as my first dog did, but it sure is close. I can't even imagine my life without them.
So now i want to pay it forward to Paws it Forward. So I am going to raise some money for this. Thank you for you time.
