LAPS FOR LESSONS
The YMCA is the leading provider of swim lessons on Long Island. Every year, we teach more than 16,000 swim lessons and are nationally recognized for our skill building and drown prevention efforts. As a leader in teaching water safety, the Y believes all kids should learn to swim - will you help us?
Please join us on Friday, March 29th at the Patchogue Family YMCA as we swim "Laps for Lessons" to keep kids and families in need the ability to be safe in and around water. Together we can raise $4,000 to teach 40 local children life-saving water safety skills.
How can you help? Sponsor a Lifeguard! We are asking for charitable pledges per length that a Lifeguard swims within an hour. Any donation helps and is greatly appreciated!
Step 1) You can sponsor a Lifeguard by speaking to them and commiting to a flat donation fee or you can commit to a donation per length that they swim on March 29th. If they have a fundraising page, you can donate the flat amount through there if you choose. If you have a Lifeguard in mind or just want to donate to this cause, you can call 631-891-1800 ext 816
Step 2) Come cheer on the Lifeguards as they swim on Friday, March 29th from 6:45-8:45pm!
