Welcome to my Mitzvah Go Fund Me Page! An important part of my journey to becoming a Bar Mitzvah is a Mitzvah project. A "mitzvah" is described as a good deed like giving back to the community in a meaningful way. I thought about how I can make a difference that would be purposeful to me.
One of my passions is baseball, so I decided to do a fundraiser through the organization called PIFBS.
Founded in 2005, Pitch In For Baseball & Softball believes that baseball and softball are effective tools for youth development. Not only do they give kids a chance to be a kid and play, but it also helps to create healthy communities, break down barriers, and instill valuable life lessons. PIFBS aims to reduce barriers to play and bring communities together by collecting and redistributing much needed baseball/softball equipment to groups serving under-resourced children. Since 2005, PIFBS has donated more than $9 million in equipment to help 800,000 kids play ball in every state and 100 countries worldwide.
I have been playing baseball since I was young and it has provided me with pride, teamwork, challenges and most of all fun. I think it's important for children to be part of sports since it helps develop so many qualities to shape a person. I want to be able to help those in need as they deserve to have the same opportunities as anyone else to play sports.
Please support me with my mitzvah project, and donate to PIFBS! Any amount would be very appreciated.
