Dear Parish Community,
During this time when we cannot physically be together due to COVID-19, we are blessed to continue to be joined in prayer and love of Jesus and our parish community. We have been able to gather virtually for Sunday Mass at 9:30 am and Monday to Saturday at 9:00 am. You have been in our prayers and thoughts constantly. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can assist you at either (908)232-1214 or email@example.com.
We remain committed to our parish mission to Worship God, Serve Others, and Make Disciples! Please join us virtually at our YouTube Channel at: http://bit.ly/2Qhhd90. Here you will find Sunday and daily Mass, Monday Prayer with our Priests at 7:00 pm and Wednesday Worship with Adrian Soltys and our Music Ministry at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays. You can access these YouTube videos either at the scheduled times or anytime afterwards.
Please consider supporting us through this Go Fund Me initiative started by the diocese. Our weekly offertory is budgeted at $29,400 and we currently receive one third of our weekly collection through online contributions. Funds raised through this fund will bridge the gap and allow us to continue to meet our operating expenses.
We truly believe the Good News of Jesus Christ inspires and transforms lives. We continue to accompany you on this walk with Christ.
May God bless you and your loved ones,
Bishop-elect Michael A. Saporito , Fr. Gabriel Curtis, and the St. Helen's Parish Staff
The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
Thank you for your generosity to your parish and to those parish communities unable to meet their critical needs alone.
