Participating at Denver Pride isn't cheap. It supplements some amazing charities, so we're happy to pay it. But first we have to raise the money to walk in the parade and have an information booth. Thanks to previous donors to this specific event, we've raised enough for application fees and a new banner. But we still need more to pay for the fees to walk in the parade and since there's quite a few of us, it costs more than if we only had 15 people. But included in that amount is permission to enter a float! (For which we need volunteers for planning and execution, *nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say-no-more*) Any remainder will go toward exhibition booth space rent, printing, schwag and event insurance.
We sincerely appreciate all your support and donations of monetary gifts, time and talent. By participating in Denver Pride, we raise awareness of how vulnerable our children and youth have been to hate and vitriol hurled at them by protesters at family friendly events like Drag Queen Story Times, All Ages Drag and Talent shows, etc. We also publicly show how much we support our kids as a whole community. We will keep posting how close we are to reaching our goal!
