During this time of uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic, many people and organizations find themselves struggling, and Kansas City Fencing Center has been no exception. As a nonprofit organization that exists to teach and provide for athletic pursuits for students of all ages, KCFC's income has largely dried up. While we eagerly anticipate the day that we can resume offering classes, we are coming to you now to ask for your support during this period of inactivity.
Kansas City Fencing Center is a nonprofit organization that provides great opportunities to the community. As the first and oldest fencing club in the Kansas City area, we have provided for the nurture and growth of young athletes for decades, along with competitive outlets and opportunities. In addition to the long fencing pedigree, KCFC has been happy to offer summer dodgeball camps, and more recently, pickleball classes. It's opportunities like these and more that we hope to be able to continue to provide in the future.
Beyond the services that the club provides, it also represents the livelihood of its two full time coaches. With people's help, we're hoping to make sure both the club and its employees can remain afloat during these difficult times. If you are in a financial position to do so, your help would be invaluable to us.
If you are currently still a monthly member, we appreciate your support more than you know, and would love for you to continue it if possible. We welcome your additional support if you are in position to do so, but your membership is the most valuable thing you can help with right now. To emphasize, if anyone is not in a financial position to give, don't feel any obligation! We want to make sure everyone stays as happy, healthy, and safe in these times as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and message, and we wish everyone the best as we navigate carefully through this pandemic.
