Every weekend, every season, volunteers with the Palos Restoration Project (PRP) are out working hard to help nature thrive in the Palos and Sag Valley Region in the forest preserves of Cook County. This vast network of preserves protects 15,000 acres of unique geological history that has given rise to an array of plant and animal life. The beauty of the Palos Preserves is breathtaking!
PRP volunteers protect and heal these natural areas through activities such as invasive species removal, native seed distribution and erosion control. With your help, we can enlist a crew of young restoration professionals from Friends of the Forest Preserves to help multiply our efforts with their hard work, specialized tools (like chainsaws!) and knowledge of the land.
If we can raise $3600, we’ll make significant headway toward healthier homes for wildlife.
