Help us keep Pacifica open until Oregon is open and we can host events again.
Every day, from dawn til dusk, Pacifica is open.
There are visitors walking amongst the diverse botany or riding their horses along the 6 miles of trails through a variety of biomes. A hundred species of birds fill the air with song. Families frolic. Individuals come to walk companionably with a friend or walk with their four legged companions or to find a quiet place to connect deeply with themselves and Nature. Our disc golf course meanders through breathtaking landscapes.
In the past, spring and summer visitors included students on field trips, 6th graders spending 3 days experiencing our Outdoor School Program (PODS) and families and friends gathering to celebrate Weddings, reunions, or enjoying dances, food and music. All of our spring programs programs and events were cancelled due to COVID19. It is unclear when any type of gatherings will be permitted again, but clearly not until mid-June based on Oregon's plan.
Programs and rentals have historically been the means of raising the revenue required to pay the land taxes, pay the sizeable insurance premium that allows us to invite the public onto the property , and the hadful of people who maintain the facilities and the property and facilitate the rentals. With no rentals or programs, we are forced to shift to the membership and donor model that we have identified as being more aligned with our values as an organization and that invite more community engagement.
We are asking for your help. We acknowledge that there is a great deal of uncertainty for all at this time, but if you are able to help us, we are deeply appreciative. No donation is too large. Small offerings carry the same intention. It's May Day, a day of solidarity. A day of mutual support. A time to Celebrate nature and the new life to come. Pacifica is committed to ensuring that our employees are able to maintain financial stability and provide day-to-day necessities for their families during the coronavirus crisis. And we are committed to keeping our front gate open for all who want to lovingly be on the land. Help us stay open, until Oregon is open for business again.
Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so we can keep our employees working and so that we can keep the property open for all who find joy and solace here during these tmes.
In 2020 all individuals, regardless of how they file their taxes, will be able to take a topline $300 writeoff on their income for donations to 501(c)3 non-profits.
Donations of $60, $120, $240 or $365 can be converted into memberships once we have that fully set up.
