Each and every day, Concordia University Wisconsin celebrates the uncommon power of education.
Education equips one with tools through which to transform not only one’s own life, but also to impact the vitality of the community in which one lives and works.
For this reason, CUW is excited to partner with Ozaukee County Jail Literacy Program in order to provide qualified incarcerated individuals with our ENG 210 College Writing course. The course will help participants develop writing fluency, essential not only for developing cover letters and résumés, but also for expressing ideas effectively within the workplace.
While incarcerated students selected for this program will receive a special scholarship from Concordia due to our partnership with the Ozaukee County Jail Literacy Program, many will still be accountable for the remaining balance. As you can imagine, finances can be a challenge as they are socio-economically disadvantaged and currently unemployed.
The Education Behind Bars for Life BEYOND Bars campaign will make a transformative difference in the lives of people through a Concordia education and the power of God’s Word.
Will you make an investment in our community? Your gift will not only bless the student, but their family and the greater Ozaukee County community as well. Together we can make a genuine difference today.
