To our Our Lady Of Mercy Family:
Since 1902, OLM has been an integral part of our faithful lives. We have endured through the Great Depression, two World Wars, 9/11 and now the Covid-19 pandemic. This season of Lent has brought all of us to the unexpected, but these days also invite us to be role models for others.
We are asking you to support an Archdiocesan-wide initiative that Cardinal Tobin has launched to support both our parish community and outreach to those in need in response to the effects of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to our parish GoFundMe page. Our goal of $75,000 is inline with our usual collection for the month of March.
You may also continue to give through your usual method if you prefer
-mail your weekly offering using your envelope/envelope number
-drop off your envelope through the mail slot on the interior rectory office door
-use our online giving option found on our website
Be assured the parish is here to respond to any of your needs during this crisis you can contact us by phone: 201-391-5315 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Our church doors remain open for our parishioners to come in and pray. We will still be here when we return to normalcy and our doors can be opened wide to receive you into Mass, our Sacraments and all of our wonderful programs that serve our parishioners and our community.
Until then, be at peace and may you be blessed with God's love during these days of uncertainty.
Fr. Patrick, Fr. Bob, Msgr. Turro, Dcn Joe, Dcn. Jae and the pastoral staff of OLM
The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
Thank you for your generosity to your parish and to those parish communities unable to meet their critical needs alone.
