Help us help those who are experiencing the hardship of homelessness.
Since November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, our English 10A class has been learning about homelessness, its causes, its impact on society, and possible solutions. We have decided to turn knowlege into action and do a service learning project.
We are raising funds for Union Station Homeless Services, a local nonprofit organization that helps homeless individuals and families rebuild their lives.
Any amount, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated.
Together, we can make a difference:
$100 can provide two weeks of meals for a parent and two children.
$250 can provide a Welcome Home Kit, supplying a laundry basket of items to make a house a home for when someone moves in i.e. floor mat, broom, shower curtain, towels, etc.
$500 can pay for one month of supportive services for an adult who previously experienced homelessness.
