Occupational Therapy Training Program (OTTP-SF), a division of non-profit Special Service for Groups, is a program in the Bay Area serving youth ages 3 to 24 who have been impacted by trauma. We provide mental health services to the most vulnerable children and youth who need our help to escape the cycle of poverty and hopelessness.
For the past twenty years, we have served youth through out the community from the Outer Sunset all the way to Oakland. We provide services to these youth because we believe passionately that ALL youth deserve the same opportunities to grow, learn and become active, contributing members of society. As therapists, we help our youth to build important skills they need to succeed in school, at work and ultimately to graduate from college to pursue a meaningful career.
Statistics show that youth faced with the same challenges that our youth experience have a 74% likelihood of being rearrested in the next three years, and that many will go on to lead a life of crime. We find this unacceptable, and we hope you do too! We are offering vital services to our youth to ensure that they are not a part of these statistics. We have had incredible successes over the years and know that we are making a significant impact.
However, we are now faced with a dire situation. Our funding to serve youth in in our community and in detention is ending in June, and we need to raise money to continue our important work with these kids who need us most!
Here is where you come in. You can be a part of the solution! Donate now to support programming for therapeutic services that youth impacted by trauma desperately need.
Any amount can help!
Thank you for your support and please spread the word!!
