OPERATION CATSNIP’S cats and kittens need your help now more than ever!
Join our March of Dollars!
Many years ago, an organization to stop Polio was born by Americans being asked to send in their dimes. Today instead of dimes (inflation after all), we are asking for a March of Dollars.
We have over 1,200 followers and if each one of you fabulous people sent in at least one dollar, shared our fundraiser, and asked your friends to do the same (send in one dollar), we could easily get a month or perhaps even two months of expenses covered.
Not only would this be a tremendous help but we would have also have a chance to get an additional $1000.00 matching contribution from the Giving Tuesday Partners!
How great would that be?!
The matching funds are limited, so the quicker we reach our goal the better the chance to get matching dollars.
We know many people are out of work and this is a sensitive and hard time to fundraise, so please understand our decision to participate in this Giving Tuesday was not taken lightly. Like many others, we will run out of money and not be able to support the cats and kittens already in our care, let alone help any of the many other cats and kittens in need.
COVID-19 has dramatically limited our ability to help cats and kittens with our adoption and fundraising events stopped. Without these events, we have seen a dramatic decline in donations. Overall, there is less housing from animal organizations and less financial support for health care and spaying and neutering.
However, the cats on the street didn't get the memo and "Kitten Season" has not stopped. In fact, they might actually be making more than usual, since many organizations are not picking up/taking in stray cats at this time.
So there’s a greater need for foster support with fewer resources.
We are grateful for whatever you can do.
