Villagers living in the remotest regions of the Central African Republic (CAR) live under the constant threat of being attacked by heavily armed rebel groups, and poachers who come to kill, rape, pillage and destroy. These poachers and rebel groups also kidnap the villager’s innocent little kids to sell and use as child sex slaves and child soldiers.
This region, about the size of Texas, is completely lawless and controlled by rebel factions. There is no government intervention on the villager’s behalf and no infrastructure for them to fall back on. No cell phone service, no grocery stores, no vehicles of any kind, no medical care facilities or services, no electricity, no economy, no clean water, no good roads, no police or military presence, and no one to come to their aid in this crisis. But now you can help.
In many villages the parents send their children out into the bush to sleep at night to protect them from the very real threat of a possible rebel raid and being kidnapped!
Can you imagine living your life like that…and being in constant fear like they are?
African Wildlife Initiative works in the CAR helping people in the remotest and most vulnerable villages to end elephant and rhino poaching and rescue their children who were kidnapped.
In order to effectively cover this vast region in north eastern CAR we need an airplane. We are having a Piper PA-18 Super Cub built (like in the photo above) and it is nearing completion. After putting every dime of our own personal money into the build project we both lost our jobs due to the CoVid layoffs. Therefore we need additional funds to complete the airplane.
Please help us rescue innocent little children from a horrific life of sex slavery and being a child soldier, and put an end to this blood thirsty and barbaric poaching. If we all team up together we can help end this violent conflict and bring peace and stability to the region. Join us!
