Please help ONEgeneration raise funds for the purchase of washable/reusable facial coverings and disposal gloves for our staff and volunteers to use during this COVID-19 pandemic. They are working hard coordinating challenging weekly “Drive Through” food distributions for older adults, as well as daily meal deliveries to hundreds of homebound older and self-quarantined adults. Over 350 cars drove through this week’s “Drive Through” food distribution where staff and volunteers placed several bags or boxes of groceries in the trunk of each car. And, they are home delivering 500+ hot and shelf stable meals daily. And on Sundays, staff and volunteers are busy from 8:00am to 1:00pm at our Farmers Market making sure consumers are able to purchase fresh fruits and produce and that they are all complying with social distancing.
Because they are all wearing masks and gloves in the performance of all this important work, staff and volunteers are currently using over 500 disposable masks and gloves per week costing $600 and we expect that even more will be needed in the many months going forward even on the road to a new normalcy. $1,000 would allow us to purchase over 350 reusable masks. These are essential service to keep our populations healthy during this very challenging time. Please help keep these hard working dedicated individuals and our communities healthy.
