We are closing out donations for the 2021 One Book One World Asian American Book Drive. Thank you all for your generous donation and tremendous support. Because of your donation, there are over 78 schools benefited from the donation. We hope to see you again next year!
As part of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (May1-31), we are raising money to support Chicago K-12 schools with a wider selection of books that promote increased awareness of Asian American history and their contributions to our communities and country. Your donation will be used to purchase those varieties of titles and then donate to the schools in need, to create follow-up programs to better assist schools and students on learning AAPI topics, and to support future book drives.
Please visit www.onebookoneworld.org for details, including the books to be purchased and donated.
The Drive is initiated by the Chinese Academy- Chicago(CA- Chicago), partnered with United Chinese Association Illinois Chapter (UCA IL), and received friendly assistance from Chinese Neighborhood Parents (CNPCPS). CAC and UCA are registered not-for-profit entities aiming at enriching and empowering our communities through civic engagement, heritage sharing, and youth mental development. We hope to work with our communities, especially educational sectors, through seminars and donations, to foster more understanding of Asian American history, social justice for minority groups, and challenges in youth development in minorities. We believe no one is born biased, therefore education is the key.
Please help us support this great cause!
