For thirty days, we pledge to wear the same grey outfit. From October 1st to October 30th. The goal is to challenge ourselves and YOU to walk a month in the shoes of a person who has no choices. By wearing the same piece of grey clothing for thirty days, you are giving up a small freedom of choosing what to wear. Though this is not close to comparing to what individuals that are human trafficed expereince, wearing the same grey item symbolizes sharing a small piece of the inability to make choices felt by human trafficking.
This year, participants fundraised money will go toward the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition. This non-profit organization focuses on bringing community efforts together to develop appropriate prevention strategies and intervention responses to victims of trafficking. The Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition's vision is to create a community without human trafficking. Let's help them reach this goal.
The One Grey Outfit Project asks its participants to challenge themselves and their world to look deeper into these issues, and raise donations in the process.
