We have seen a lot of success here at the One by One Foundation since being founded in 2007! We've been able to expand our operations to Idaho while continuing our original mission to sponsor education for students in Ghana. However, with this expanision comes an increased need of support from our community to continue Healing Minds, Hearts, and Spirits. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to adapt not only the work we do in the community, but also our fundraising approach.
This is why we need your help. We want to continue to empower youth in Idaho and Ghana, and have a positive impact on the families that need us most through our philanthropic projects. We are committed to maximizing the potential of every donation by having all funds contributed go directly towards our philanthropic projects! This is possible due to our founders commiting to covering all administrative costs for our organization. We'd love for you to join us in our journey of selfless giving for a good cause!
Here's some of the progress we've made just this year:
Healing Minds – Sponsoring Education for Underprivileged and Orphaned Students in Ghana: · We had our first student, Priscilla Adekpuitor, complete the program by graduating from Ho Technical University with a 3.25 GPA and receiving a Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply. · We’ve established One by One Farms – Ghana in Ho, Ghana as a facility where our students can gain practical skills, work experience, and give back to their community by engaging in agriculture.
Healing Hearts – Providing Animals for Play-Assisted Therapy and Animal Activities for Traumatized and At-Risk Youth in Idaho: · We’ve established partnerships with the Children’s Home Society and Family Advocates to provide animals for therapists' use in play-assisted therapy or for their clients to engage with in less formalized animal activities at our Animal Activities Center in Meridian.
Healing Spirits – Promoting Kriya Yoga through Public Seminars and Mediation Sessions: · We plan to host our first public Kriya Yoga lecture and initiation on August 22nd and 23rd, hosted by experienced Kriya teacher Robert Henderson, also known as Gonesh Baba.
Feed the Valley Project: · We are growing fresh vegetables to be distributed to underprivileged families and organizations that provide food for less fortunate individuals in the Treasure Valley. · All of the farming will be done organically at the Animal Activities Center in Meridian.
Join us on our mission of Healing Minds, Hearts, and Spirits.
