This March I will have the wonderful opportunity to travel with The Student Rescue Project once again to Rincon, Puerto Rico! My work with this organization has been life-changing in how I have learned to advocate for others, especially stray pups. Dog overpopulation and abandonment on the island is a significant problem and The Student Rescue Project is focused on finding homes for these animals and educating young people on ways to lend a hand. While in Rincon, our group will build a series of isolation kennels in the yard of a local rescuer. These kennels will be used to keep newly rescued dogs separate from one another while they’re evaluated and quarantined. Per usual, we will also be flying home with several dogs who are ready for adoption.
With your help, I will try to raise $250 to go towards the pups and construction supplies. Every penny counts! I will post many photos of the pups and all that I see during my time out in Puerto Rico.
