Old School Farm is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in the heart of the Bells Bend area of Nashville. Their mission is to provide vocation, education, and job opportunities to people of all abilities and backgrounds through agriculture and art.
Old School Farm currently consists of a 1.7 acre micro farm and pottery studio. Through its agriculture program the Old School Farm is able to supply food to two different restaurants, farmers markets, and host its own CSA. With its growth and demand the Old School Farm has done its best to keep up but is now in need of a few new pieces of equipment to assist it in its growth.
The Old School farm is in need of six new wheelbarrows and two new greenhouses to raise it microgreens and seedlings in. This will allow the old school farm to hire at least one new individual with a varying level of ability and also increase its prevention of disease in its greenhouse. In addition to providing a new employment opportunity the new greenhouse will provide educational workshops on microgreens and seeding. Should the campaign raise its goal of $2000 additional funds raised will be used to purchase shelving, lights, and new garden trays for plants.
