I will be participating in the Rocky Mtn Flyathlon race this August, which puts money raised directly back into improving Colorado's fish and wildlife habitat. This is quite possibly the COOLEST event of the summer & this group holds a very special place in my heart.
I'll be doing a little fundraising special for this year's race:
Donate $30 Your choice: I'll take you fly fishing off the Cherry Creek Bike Trail OR you can have a custom trout print, made by yours truly (see attached image).
Donate $50, I'll pack us a lunch and drive us out to hike a 14er you haven't done yet!
Donate $75, I will teach you how to fly fish anywhere along the wonderful front range (this includes lunch... and if you're lucky, I might bring a few PBR-mosas!)
Donate $100, I will take you out to the mtns & teach you what I learned while I was living in the woods for 6 months. This includes: how to build a fire, how to pitch a tent, water filtration techniques, hang a bear bag, etc.
Donate $250 to my campaign, I will take you backpacking anywhere in Colorado. Camping gear, food, and ride to the moutains all included.
Donate $1,000, I'll fly us out to Oklahoma for a weekend and take you noodling for catfish.
A little but about the organization:
Founded in 2016, Running rivers is an all-volunteer, colorado-based 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is: To facilitate the connection of people with healthy freshwater ecosystems through novel recreational events, educational activities and on-the-ground projects As Colorado’s population rapidly grows, we are at risk of loving our incredible wild places to death. At running rivers, we believe that it is no longer sufficient to be outdoor enthusiasts. instead, we must become outdoor advocates if we want our public lands, public waters, and native fish to persist and thrive...
ROCKY MOUNTAIN FLYATHLON Our flagship program, the Flyathlon pairs trail running, fly fishing, and craft beer in unique events that raise money for the wild places that they take place in. Over the last 4 years, our flyathletes have raised more than $100,000 for on-the-ground projects.
