Since its inception in December 2009, OKC Improv has brought affordable entertainment and classes to the Oklahoma City metro. OKC Improv has introduced thousands of Oklahomans to improv through shows, classes, workshops, library tours and The Arts Council Oklahoma City annual New Year's Eve event, Opening Night.
Just like our art form, we’ve had to improvise at times, performing and educating in theaters where there might be an open weekend.
After nearly 10 years, we are ready for our next act: we are opening our VERY OWN VENUE in the PLAZA DISTRICT! In the midst of one of Oklahoma City's premier entertainment districts, we'll have performance space and classrooms all under one roof. Expect expanded programming, greater variety of classes, and opportunities for community outreach. We do not want to just perform, we want to make a difference in Oklahoma City with our beloved art form.
We receive the keys to our own space September 1, and hope to hold our first shows in mid-October. Your donations will help us create an environment built specifically for performance and classes. We have set an initial goal of $40,000 which will cover the cost of renovating the space to make it uniquely ours.
Every donation you make to the OKC Improv Foundation is tax-deductible. Please help us bring laughter and joy to the urban core of Oklahoma City.
