We are the OGRES - "Older Guys Riding Every Sunday". We are good friends that have been bike riding together for years and this year we are all going to ride 100 miles in the North Shore Century (Chicago area) on Sunday, September 15. A challenge for some of us to say the least.
In connection with this ride, we are raising money for Dancing while Cancering, a non profit whose mission is to improve the in hospital stay experience for children with cancer. This foundation was started by Scott and Pammy Kramer, cousins of one of our guys. Their daughter Maddie was just a few months shy of 3 years old when she passed away after a 9 month battle with a rare form of cancer. While nothing could be more tragic, they have chosen to keep Maddie's legacy alive by helping other children and families as they struggle through difficult times. You can access the website and read more about Dancing while Cancering by clicking here.
