Hello Friends and Family!
As you may or may not know, I'm participating in the 9th Annual Aspen Cares Fashion Show that takes place on Thursday, February 6th at Belly Up and is a theatrical benefit for a local organization near and dear to my heart - the Aspen Hope Center.
If you're not familiar, The Aspen Cares Theatrical Fashion Show blends movement, music, dance and storyline into a one-hour theatrical extravaganza, while presenting high-end to street-wear fashions to an affluent Aspen audience. This one night only fundraising event benefits the Aspen Hope Center.
The Hope Center specializes in Mental health crisis referral and response services: from prevention through education and school based services, to response for 911 on-scene calls, intervention, stabilization and recovery.
Their mission is to extend a beacon of hope to those in emotional crisis and offer a continuum of comprehensive care while steadfastly working to decrease the stigma of mental illness through expert clinical care, public education, community collaboration and outreach.
They provide a 24-Hour Hopeline, Community Education, Individual Counseling, Community Collaborations with the local schools, police departments, Pathfinders, Mountain Rescue and Challenge Aspen, as well as Crisis Intervention & Individual Outpatient Therapy.
With the Roaring Fork Valley's higher than average suicide statistics and need for mental health support, we can all probably relate to a story of loss of life or loss of hope. I personally want to give my time and support and encourage all who are moved to support to donate to this amazingly caring organization.
Please take a moment and consider donating to my CrowdRise page for the Aspen Cares event! 100% of your donation goes to the organization's fundraising efforts.
