On January 6,2019 my cousin Steven was tragically killed in the line of duty while working as a member of FDNY Ladder 170. Steven was only 30 years old. Steven wasn‘t just my cousin, he was my very first friend. Every childhood memory I have, was shared with Steven.
Answer The Call has been a charity that is close to my heart for some time now. As the wife of a fireman, and coming from a family of firemen, this organization is important to me.
On March 17,2019 I will be running the NYC United Half Marathon in memory of Steven. I have a goal of $2,000 to be raised for Answer the Call. All proceeds will go to help all the families they provide support for, and any that may need it in the future.
Thank You for your support!

The mission of the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund is to support the families of New York City Police Officers, Firefighters, Port Authority Police, and EMS Personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. When these brave men and women make the ultimate sacrifice to protect our city, we believe it is our civic duty to support the families these heroes have left behind. Our mission is to reassure these families that will never forget them or the sacrifice made by their loved ones. We currently provide annual financial assistance, host special gatherings, and offer a network of support to approximately 600 families. Our goal is to raise enough funds to enable us to increase the annual support we provide to these families.
Our first responders come running whenever we need help. It's time we do the same for them.
