Alex's generous & nurturing soul loved anything related to the outdoors. He was most at home in nature, learning all that he could about flora & fauna, & sharing his wisdom with others. For as long as he could remember, you could find him in or on the water or wandering the woods. He inspired his family & friends to do the same through shared activities like hiking, camping, boating, swimming, hunting, & fishing.
Alex was passionate about the US National Parks System, making a point to travel to as many parks as possible. He frequently shared colorful memories of towering redwoods, crystal glacial lakes, & great lodges. He was excited when he became eligible for a lifetime senior National Park Pass & was able to make good use of it.
Alex passed peacefully on July 13, 2019. He made a point of getting outdoors every day & was energized by it. In loving memory of Alex's adventurous spirit, we hope that you will join us in supporting much needed funding for the National Parks.
