NPower is a national technology training organization on a mission to move people from poverty to the middle class. For over a decade we have successfully provided rigorous and holistic, FREE program to help young adults, minorities, women and veterans launch their careers in the tech sector all around the country.
The economic situation of NPower's participants dramatically improves after completion of the program, on average 80% success in this metric. In addition, Ninety percent of NPower alumni are placed in tech-based paid internships during the program and within one year of graduation over 80% of alumni obtain quality employment or enroll in continuing education. Even more data to the programmatic impact shows newly trained NPower tech professional earn salaries on an average of 194% percent higher than before entering the program. Now, that's what you call an amazing turnaround!
While today we are all facing COVID-19 unchartered territory, we at NPower, recognize that in moments of crisis our communities can rally to sustain us for the impact of developing new innovations to thrive.
As a response to continue our needed programs NPower has transitioned their teaching model from an 100% in-person classes and our advanced professional development into a 100% live virtual learning environment. Within this concept of sustaining to thrive we directed resources to ensure the NPower participants have the needed equipment and internet access free of charge. This was a response to the many NPower students who lacked access to participate virtually.
As you can tell NPower’s commitment to ensure all programs remain operational as it is our goal to still graduate close to 400 tech professionals this summer who will be not only skilled but also ready to hit the ground running.
And as we continue to look beyond the immediate health crisis we know that an economic downturn is imminent and will result in an influx of unemployed people across all generations and demographics, we ask for your support in getting ahead of this downward curve through a generous donation of $500.00 or more to assist us in providing life changing skills and opportunity to all current and future NPower students disproportionately impacted.
