Since being injured at work in June, I have really recognized just how much importance I have put into my physical health determining my mental health. Not being able to work or earn, not being able to compete and train in Jiu Jitsu or Rugby, not being able to play with my sons, or enjoy time with my partner all had me exceptionally low this summer.
After a good chat at the home, I reckonized what was going on, and a need to change. I was able to find a lot of help in regards to athletes and depression. Also being lucky to have support at home for the injruy and my mental health I have made some strides to improve myself. Something as simple as the online test here on Heads Up Guys is a brilliant tool in letting you know you need some help.
While my body takes its time to heal, I wanted to try and do something to help other Canadians out who are In the same boat. I was excited to see something out of BC, let alone Canada, and knew I wanted to get Involved.
every min a man takes their life, so my goal to tackle this big 60 is to offer 60 tips and lessons via social media in regards to injury prevention, and treatment inregards to Jiu Jitsu, as well as technique and training ideas.
