Nourishing Lives FL is helping to feed hungry families and children in South Florida. Distributing daily grab & go meals for children and weekly family food bags from New Horizon Methodist Church in Cooper City, Florida. The need continues to grow as the Coronavirus Pandemic continues to keep people from work opportunities.
You can help in the efforts to keep our community healthy and fed. Each weekly family bag costs approximately $40. Monetary and food donations are welcome. The weekly food bags contain peanut butter, crackers, pasta, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, fruit cups, ramen noodles, ravioli or spaghetti-o’s, beans, canned chili, granola bars, oatmeal or cereal, instant potatoes, tuna lunch kits and rice dinners. Food can be dropped off or picked up at New Horizon United Methodist Church, 5741 S Flamingo Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330.
Peytyn Tobin, Executive Director of Nourishing Lives Florida, states that the number of families they are feeding since the pandemic started, has grown 30%. All food and monetary donations are needed and welcome. Peytyn’s goal is that she and her team never have to turn away a family because they don’t have the food to distribute.
