The HIV epidemic is far from over. Since 2014, Canada’s Youth-HIV rates have risen 31%, where just under one-quarter (616) of all HIV diagnoses in 2018 being youth aged 15 to 29. Little to no information on community support, combined with continued stigma, prevent access to care. The sexual health of young people has mostly been overlooked.

NoTimeToWait 2020 (http://NoTimeToWait.ca) is Canada's first Youth-HIV Leadership Conference. NoTimeToWait provides young Canadians with an opportunity to further their knowledge on HIV-related issues and develop the advocacy skills necessary to carry out sustainable initiatives. NoTimeToWait attendees will become key stakeholders in ending the HIV epidemic by 2030.
Attendees will get to participate in information sessions, keynote speaker panels with Q&A, and interactive breakout sessions. Several workshops will focus on building tangible leadership and advocacy skills, networking with peers and non-profit exhibitor booths, connections to volunteer and career opportunities, and a chance to showcase Youth-HIV artwork and research.
