This year, I am participating in the GISH virtual scavenger hunt along with teammates across the world. Beyond being a really cool and fun socially-distanced way to celebrate Halloween weekend, the event also raises awareness for good purpose: Random Acts – a nonprofit devoted to empowering people to help each other "one random act of kindness at a time”.
Over the past decade, this 100% volunteer-run organization has taken on ambitious projects like building a children’s center for orphans in Haiti and helping Syrian refugees, but they also help in less high-profile ways that still mean the world to someone, like buying sneakers for a child experiencing homelessness. No matter the size of the project, the central purpose of Random Acts has always been to facilitate kind people helping one another.
We are looking to raise $10 from 10 different donors by 4 PM PST on Nov. 1. That's also 7 PM EST. Chip in here on our team page!
