The Minnesota Chorale and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will present the world premiere performances of The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, by acclaimed composer Jocelyn Hagen on March 30 and 31, 2019. Illustrations and writing in Leonardo's own hand will be projected in real time during the performance. Written to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo's death, the nine-movement work will feature the first-ever use of software that enables the images to follow the music. How fitting to celebrate the original Renaissance Man by employing newly-invented technology!
We strive to make our performances accessible to all, so we are presenting these concerts at no charge to audiences. But presentation expenses for the Chorale and MSO add up. Would you consider helping to underwrite a portion of these costs? We'll thank you by printing your name in the concert program, and in person if you attend either of the performances.
With your help, people from all over the Twin Cities metro area and beyond will be able to enjoy these world premiere performances!
