An important goal of GSN is to make our programs and services accessible to ALL people who are grieving, regardless of their financial circumstances or the kind of loss they are grieving. The Noah Skyler Scholarship Fund is a scholarship created in loving memory of GSN’s Founder Wendy Stern’s son, Noah, who passed away in 2008.
This fund offers financial support for people to participate in our Yoga Therapy Programs. With loss, there often comes a breakdown of one’s ability to function in the world, which makes it difficult for people to work and, therefore, receive the care they need at a time in their lives when they need it the most. Through GSN’s 9-Month From Grief To Gratitude and 6-Week Awakening Through Grief Yoga Therapy Programs, grieving individuals will be able to receive support through embodied, personal growth work and community support for them to heal and move forward in life.
We will all experience loss in our lives and GSN believes that it is the responsibility of the community to share in the collective burden of our grief. None of us can do it alone and we shouldn’t have to! It takes just one simple act of kindness to change the world – it ripples out from your heart and supports others to create radical change in their lives.
By contributing to the Noah Skyler Scholarship Fund, you will be paying it forward to make a difference in the life of someone who is grieving alone. Please consider making a donation to share the power of yoga with someone who is suffering and in need of the unique opportunity that yoga offers us to learn about ourselves, grow, release and find more gratitude and joy in our lives. 100% of the money donated to the NSS Fund will be used towards tuition for applicants who are grieving who could not otherwise afford to join us.
