"It was time for us to be the change we wanted to see; creating meaningful work for the intellectually disabled population". - The Cartier Family, Founders, No Limits Cafe
The Cartiers, of Lincroft, have a 20 year-old daughter, Katie. Katie was born intellectually disabled and as she aged, her parents wondered what would become of her should anything happen to them. Why couldn't she get a job and support herself like other young adults?
From this question was born the No Limits Cafe, a restaurant coming to Middletown, NJ, that will train and hire only people with intellectual disabilites. Set to open later in 2019, this is a termendous idea, but also a tremendous financial lift.
