Thanks for checking out my charity fundraiser.
With the help of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, I have started a new scholarship for LGBTQ students who want to work in sports media. Since coming out in 2016, my experience has been completely positive. Everybody I work with at ESPN has been great, and you guys who listen to me every day and follow me on social media have been totally cool and supportive. Sports is a powerful way to promote a message of inclusion, and I want to help LGBTQ students to work in sports media through writing, broadcasting and podcasting. I will be awarding the Steve Mason Sports Media Scholarship every year, and you can help me to make it permanent. A different LGBTQ student will receive a $2,500 scholarship every year.
View photos and see the 65” TV that I won by making the final table at the Yasiel Puig Wild Horse Foundation Poker tournament. (Yes I am bragging. What else would you expect from me.) Imagine watching LeBron... the Dodgers in the playoffs… the Rams on their way to the Super Bowl… JT Daniels & the Trojans all on on this spectacular big-screen.
The winner will be announced on September 3.
HERE ARE THE RULES
Every $10 donation represents a chance to win the sweepstakes. If you make a $100 donation, that counts as 10 chances.
Deadline for entry is September 2 at midnight pacific. Winner of this TV must be able to pick up at a West Los Angeles location. It is big and may require a large vehicle to transport.
