I'm not a doctor. I can't administer cancer treatment. I can't do any surgeries. I can't even prescribe medication. But I CAN bike, swim, and run. So that is why I have decided to take on this triathlon this summer in order to raise money that will benefit families and patients who have been affected by breast cancer.
I know that in the face of such insidious diseases such as breast cancer, it is easy to give up hope. It is easy to let cancer win. But I think hope is by far the most powerful tool we have in this battle. And, although I am not a medical professional, I can still hope, which supports the cause in its own way.
I think it's really important for all of us to realize there is always a way to help. You might not be able to physically stop cancer yourself, but you can support those who ARE able to stop cancer through research. By donating to a cause such as The Breast Cancer Charities of America, you are taking on an active role in the fight against cancer. Any amount helps. Thank you for your consideration!
