Transplant Type: Heart
What if you were living on borrowed time?
Becca Imhoff is fighting for her life. She was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at birth, and by the time she turned 21, she had already endured five open heart surgeries. In April, she learned she was in heart failure, and doctors say a heart transplant is essential to her survival.
Although she tries to stay active and live her life as normally as possible, Becca often experiences extreme fatigue when she does too much. She looks forward to the transplant that will offer her a second chance at life and the opportunity to spend more time with family and friends without feeling so run down. But right now, she needs your help.
Unfortunately, Becca’s hope for a new life comes at a very high price.
The average heart transplant costs nearly $1 million. And that’s only the beginning. Even with health insurance, which will cover the cost of the transplant, she still faces significant expenses related to the surgery. For the rest of her life, she will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications, which are as critical to her survival as the transplant itself.
You can help by making a tax-deductible donation to the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of Becca.
If you'd prefer to send your gift by mail, please send it to the NFT Florida Transplant Fund, 3249 W. Sarazen’s Circle, Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38125. Please be sure to write "in honor of Becca Imhoff” in the memo line.
Thank you for your generosity!
