New England Classical Academy has a NEW HOME at 59 Old Church Rd. in Claremont, NH but we need donations for renovations! Please help us reach our goal of raising $20,000 by Aug. 31, 2018. This spring, our school took a giant step forward by purchasing beautiful five-acre property and building in Claremont, NH to move our school into this summer. This new facility offers a safer environment for our K-12 students, as well as providing a wonderful outdoor space with huge potential for future growth.
The building is in excellent condition, but will need a new fire alarm system, upgrades to make it ADA compliant, and other renovations to suit the needs of our classes. We have received a generous grant from the Byrne Foundation to offset the initial costs, but we still need your help to reach our goal. Even a small donation can really help us get ready for our Fall 2018 school year. Here's an example of what your money can help us purchase....
$6.00 buys sheetrock screws or one 2" x 4" board for framing
$12.00 buys a panel of sheetrock or drywall tape or 2 2" x 4"'
$24.00 buys two panels of sheetrock $50.00 buys a roll of electrical wire $100 goes toward the cost of hiring a plumber
$250 is the average cost of an exterior door
$500 purchases a water fountain etc.
We also need funds to help with the cost of the fire alarm system, flooring and windows. Your donation will make NECA safe and fully functional for our students! Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
ABOUT NECA: Now entering our eleventh year, NECA continues to provide a challenging classical curriculum in the liberal arts. Founded in 2009 and rooted in the Catholic tradition, we seek to form and educate young people according to the ancient understanding of education as the pursuit of wisdom. The traditional classical curriculum offers the study of Latin, Greek, mathematics, grammar and composition, humanities, science, art, music and drama, through which our students try to answer the questions that help us to understand who we are and what that means about how we should act. Through readings and discussion, students experience an intellectual and spiritual awakening that ennobles their hearts and minds. They leave the Academy with courage and hope, carrying with them the seeds of wisdom, knowledge, eloquence and virtue, ready to live meaningful lives of integrity.
Small class sizes and personal attention combined with an active school community promotes character development and strong moral virtues. This unique educational opportunity draws students from a wide geographical area, predominately Sullivan County, NH, the Upper Valley of NH and VT, Rockingham County,VT and even Turners Falls, MA. NECA believes strongly that the classical education we seek to provide our students should be equally available to any family who desires to support the opportunity we can provide for their child.
