On 09-11-20 I'm hiking 9.11 miles on the Iron King/Peavine Trail in Prescott, Az. to honor the memory of Stephen Siller and all first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on 09-11-01.
Stephen Siller was a young F.D.N.Y. Fireman from my hometown of Staten Island, N.Y.
On 09-11-01, Stephen was driving home after getting off shift when the first plane hit the W.T.C.
Stephen turned around and drove back towards Manhattan. He got to the entrance of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel but traffic was stopped and he couldn't drive any further. Stephen grabbed his 60 lbs. of gear and ran into the tunnel to go help at the Towers.
He was never seen again...
Stephen's family started the Stephen Siller Foundation in his memory, which does great work assisting the families of fallen first responders, seriously injured military veterans and Gold Star families. Check out the Foundation's website for more information about their great work:
Please support my campaign and help honor Stephen Siller and all 9/11 first responders.
Their sacrifice is NEVER FORGOTTEN.
The Tunnel to Towers: Never Forget Virtual Challenge is a challenge to have people do one thing to honor and remember the sacrifice of 9-11. It is our hope that individuals, families, first responders, military and anyone who would have supported one of our Run and Climb events, including the NYC 5K Run and Walk, would take time to share how they will “Never Forget.”
Share on social media and help us to get as many people to be involved as possible. If you have attended any of our events in the past, wear your Tunnel to Towers shirt or hat, post the picture, and tag your friends. Use our hashtag #T2TNeverForget.
It’s free to join us!!!! Just share this link with your friends and family:
