In 1932 the Nazi Party won 230 seats in German parliamentary elections. The use of propaganda and hate speech was a catalyst that propelled the party’s rise. In Rwanda, hate speech on the radio played a role in inciting genocide that killed 800,000 people in 100 days.
Today, hateful rhetoric left unchecked continues to spark violence around the world, including right here in the U.S. At The Nexus Fund we give direct support to front-line activists around the world to address hate speech before violence can occur.
Join us for Genocide Awareness Month, a sobering reminder of our promise “Never Again”. Stand with those affected by conflict by supporting the heroes countering hate around the world to prevent further violence.
