We need your support to launch our programs to prepare neurodiverse students for careers in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The unemployment or underemployment rate for the neurodiverse community is over 85%. However, many such individuals also have tremendous potential for both creativity and productivity. Neurodivergent individuals are those that identify as autistic or with autism, ADHD/ADD, Dyslexic or Dysgraphia.
Neurodiversity is just that: a different way of thinking that forges needed innovation into business culture. Diversity and Inclusion is a critically important topic today and often stops with visible diversities. Neurodiversity is invisible and affects 1 in 7 people.
Neurodiversity Works utilizes project-based learning which allows our students to grow their intrinsic capabilities and practice communication, increasing their likelihood of independence as adults. Students are matched one-to-one with mentors— GIS and AI professionals—which not only changes public perception of this disability, it also paves the way for future higher education and employment opportunities.
