As a member of the Board of Directors for Friends Without A Border, I've seen the incredible work being performed by the doctors and nurses at the two pediatric hospitals our organization has built in Laos and Cambodia.
These hospitals have saved the lives of so many children and healed countless others.
We are currently focused on the development and sustainability of Lao Friends Hospital for Children, which we opened in October of 2015. The staff at LFHC handled nearly 25,000 medical cases during the first nine months of this year.
The children in northern Laos who arrive at our hospital are treated at no cost to their families.
Each year, the caseload expands. So does the cost of operating this much needed facility, which not only treats sick and injured children, but also functions as a teaching hospital, where Lao doctors and nurses are trained and mentored by volunteers from countries spanning the globe.
Families in northern Laos truly need LFHC. There is no other facility like it in the region. So I'm asking you to join me in supporting this cause. Join me in our effort to change the medical landscape of an entire country!
