This year on Feb 6th NEHSA will be holding their annual ski-a-thon. This year 2021 it will be looking a little different. Because of Covid-19 the ski-a-thon will be held on the slopes and virtually. Because of Covid-19 I chose to participate virtually. Yes I plan to put on my ski helmet and push my wheelchair around the neighborhood. (Pictures will be posted.) I miss not hitting the slopes this year but chose to be safe.
New England Handicapped Sports Association was founded in 1972 as a non-profit organization run by and for physically disabled persons who wanted to enjoy active and independent lives through participation in sports.
NEHSA offers year round activities such as kayaking, adaptive rock climbing, cycling, water and snow sports. The snow sports are offered at Mount Sunapee Resort where more than 7,000 hours of ski and snowboarding lessons have been tayght by our highly trained volunteer instructors.
I have been skiing with NEHSA for many years. I have enjoyed being able to get out on the slopes and enjoy the winter. Please consider donating to this great organization and help me reach my goal of $500.
