I've complained about running for the last few months, but truth is I love it as much as I love complaining. To keep up the momentum, I'm now running a 5K on April 20th.
I was hesitant to sign up at first, but I rushed to do because this race will fundraise for CAMBA to serve the community I live in and the people around my home. I'd love for friends + family to give a few dollars to support their work.
You can read more about CAMBA below or visit www.camba.org to learn more about the services they provide.
With love, gratitude and sore knees,
CAMBA provides services that connect people with opportunities to enhance their quality of life. Our services reach more than 45,000 individuals and families each year, including 10,000 youth, and brings critical programs to a diverse cross section of New Yorkers, from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. Your support makes it possible for CAMBA to keep families facing homelessness from being evicted, brings literacy classes and job training programs for immigrants and low-income adults, supports college prep programs to ensure our children are on track for a successful future. Your support also helps young people stay engaged and excel academically and, later, go on to enroll in college and many other life improving programs to better the lives of those in our community. Together, we can make a stronger Brooklyn.
