The Gowen family has participated in the Myrtle Beach Tunnel to Towers 5K, since it began two years ago. Honoring the sacrifices of 9/11 first responders is very important to our family. My father is a retired Nassau County police officer who was called to serve on that tragic day and the many days following the attack. Coming from Long Island, our family knows countless first responders who served during that time. Sadly, we also know men and women who perished that day.
Participating in this walk is one small way that we recognize the dedication of our first responders and remember those whom we lost. Please consider donating to our team to help support this great foundation and the work that they do. Thank you !
The Siller Family started the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001. The Foundation was built upon the mantra, “while we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” and continues Stephen’s legacy by supporting our nation’s first responders and military heroes.
